Ten more US West Coast Approved Service Stations complete Ocean Safety US coverage

Ocean Safety, specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment, has added ten further Approved Service Stations to their global network which are certified to service, repair and re-equip Ocean Safety manufactured liferafts, lifejackets and man overboard equipment. Importantly this includes the Ocean Safety SOLAS range of rafts.

Steve Bockett, Ocean Safety’s Training Manager, who is based at the company’s headquarters in Southampton, UK, travelled to the US where he was joined by Tom Mastrella, Training and Technical Manager of Revere Survival, to hold the training sessions for personnel from the ten businesses most of whom are located on the USA’s West Coast.

The training sessions, lasting several days for each company, were hosted at the headquarters of marine safety specialists PSI Survival and Datrex, in Seattle.

Bringing the US West Coast region businesses up to Ocean Safety’s Approved status hugely improves Ocean Safety’s US network. This creates a comprehensive geographical network across the country’s boating regions.

Training included familiarisation with 3Si’s USCG approved and SOLAS MED liferafts including Ocean Safety’s globally popular Ocean SOLAS Compact liferaft and the Revere Compact range of liferafts. Also covered were Revere’s USCG approved commercial rafts.

Revere and Ocean Safety are both part of the 3Si Group of companies. Other products included in the training sessions were Ocean Safety’s range of lifejackets and Jonbuoy Man Overboard Recovery System.
