Taylor Marine commissions 300th Ocean Safety liferaft

Taylor Marine, leading marine supplier based in Henderson WA with three further branches in Australia, marked a milestone when they commissioned their 300th Ocean Safety liferaft.

Ocean Safety, based in the UK, has been supplying their Ocean ISO liferafts to Taylor Marine for a number of years. The majority of Taylor Marine’s liferaft stock is for hire, and leisure boaters who don’t regularly carry a liferaft on board are increasingly selecting the hire option. With it comes the benefit of cost savings and up to date servicing when planning longer than usual cruising itineraries or offshore races whose safety regulations include carrying a liferaft.

Taylor Marine is an Ocean Safety Approved Service Station for servicing, repairing and replacing Ocean Safety’s liferafts, lifejackets and associated accessories. The two companies on opposite sides of the globe have established a successful relationship of supply and support.  Liferafts are shipped in ‘non-operational’ mode, so that inflation canisters, flares and other items with a finite service life do not need to be commissioned until reaching their final destination at one of Taylor Marine’s branches.

Taylor Marine is accessible to an extensive cruising and racing market on Australia’s south and west coasts with branches in Adelaide, Lincoln and Mt Gambier.

Ocean Safety’s liferaft hire service is available to outlets worldwide. Full training and support is given to establishing outlets as Approved Service Stations.
