Sunsail flotilla holidays now available in the UK

More than 45 years on from launching its first flotilla holiday, Sunsail is bringing two flotilla routes to the UK for the first time.

Based at Port Solent in Hampshire, the new flotilla charters are aimed at those wanting to explore the south coast. The region is renowned as an excellent sailing area with steady winds. Offering a challenge for an experienced sailor, there is also the option of hiring a Sunsail skipper for novice families and groups who want to try sailing for the first time.

The vessels available for the UK flotilla holidays include the newest members of Sunsail’s fleet, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 41.0 yachts, which are launching in March 2020. These yachts offer a modern and spacious interior and are fit for both cruising and racing.

Kate Staniforth, Sunsail’s Senior UK Marketing Manager, comments: “We are delighted to launch our first ever UK flotilla routes, which are perfect for first time sailors and experienced skippers alike. These mini cruises are ideal for those looking to get a true taste of flotillas closer to home, whilst sampling our new fleet. We’re pleased that the new Sunsail 41.0s feature a highly efficient engine design, demonstrating our commitment to protecting the environment and waters in which we operate.”

The new UK flotilla routes take in Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight, including the sailing mecca of Cowes and the medieval town of Yarmouth.
