SMG Meet the Manufacturer 2019 – a resounding success
The weather was perfect for the Onboard experience on Wednesday 27th February. The boats from Simrad, B&G, Lowrance, Garmin and Raymarine enjoyed perfect conditions on Southampton Water to demonstrate and show off the capabilities of their latest marine electronics equipment. Some highlights included manouvering a 50ft Sunseeker using a connected Quatix 5 watch from Garmin, seeing incredible detail on the seabed and harbour walls using StructureScan and Sidescan on the Simrad boat, the impressive augmented reality in action 
on the Raymarine boat, plus the knowledge and enthusiasm shown by the ambassadors and staff on all the boats.
The main MTM event held at Ordnance Survey Building Southampton the following day, was attended by over 150 Professionals in the Marine industry, with over 30 Marine brands exhibiting their latest products, and seminar sessions running throughout the day. There was a great buzz with the venue providing the perfect environment for a relaxed, laid back atmosphere with the chance to chat, network and do business.
