Help British Marine develop new sales and promotion platforms for the industry

British Marine is looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable members to join a working group to help develop a new line of promotion/sales platforms which will benefit its membership and the wider industry.

With the unfortunate cancellation of the London Boat Show 2019, British Marine wants to explore alternative options which will not only support and compliment TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, but will also deliver the additional short and long term promotion and sales platforms that its membership and exhibitors are looking for.

Therefore, British Marine is looking for between ten and fifteen individuals from within the membership to volunteer some of their time and expertise. They will sit on a new working group, alongside members from the British Marine Board and Executive, to develop ideas which the talented team at British Marine will be tasked with delivering.

This working group needs to reflect the breadth of the British Marine membership, so applicants are sought from right across the industry including, but not limited to, boat builders, equipment manufacturers and distributors, boat retailers and brokers, hire and tourism businesses. The working group needs the knowledge of experienced exhibitors (both at domestic and overseas events), as well as those with a flair for ideas who may never have actively exhibited at a show or event before. This group will develop proposals and plans which will be put to the British Marine Board for consideration and action.

The British Marine Board is keen that this work should start as soon as possible. If you are interested in applying to sit on this new and exciting project group, please send your details, including relevant experience and a short qualifying statement to:

The deadline for applications is Monday 11 June. Successful applicants will be notified shortly after, with a timetable and terms of reference to follow.

This really is an exciting opportunity to work with British Marine and help shape an important part of its services and product offering, and the British Marine Board and Executive are looking forward to working with its members to deliver some great new opportunities.
