Dinghy sailors required for sponsorship opportunities

Bainbridge International – the marine equipment distributor based in Hedge End, Hampshire – is looking to sponsor dinghy sailors this season. If you’ve had, or know anyone who has had, a great 2019 at races and regattas, this is a solid opportunity to apply for a new spinnaker or deck hardware.

The sponsorship application needs to be made in person at the RYA Dinghy Show this weekend.

The first sponsorship opportunity is branded AIRX spinnakers. AIRX is said to be lightweight yet super strong and, as kitebuilder.com says, “allows Grand Prix sailors to use lighter sails higher up the wind range, cruising sailors to have spinnakers that last longer, and club racers to use lightweight sails that are far less likely to blow out or tear.

“A new process was developed to provide a water repellent, zero porosity, stable and durable finish. Whatever it is you are looking for from your sail, lighter weight, better stability or greater strength, AIRX will give you better performance.”

Sprenger deck hardware products in action

The second sponsorship opportunity is bundles of Sprenger deck hardware products. Sprenger is one of the world’s oldest boat equipment manufacturers, based in Germany. Bainbridge distributes its blocks and rigging to the UK market.

“We want to meet the dedicated dinghy sailors who are working their way up to the top of the rankings,” says Hermione Barfield, marketing manager, “the ones who are passionate about their sport, dedicated to making this season the best yet, and who understand the value of sponsorship. We want these products being used and being talked about through social media, and further afield. Who knows where these relationships can go in years to come?

“With the range we distribute, the opportunities could be endless. We’re ready to meet the next generation of top-class dinghy sailors, all they need to do to start the process is come and say ‘hello’ in Hall 3, D8, at Alexandra Palace.”

Those keen to take advantage of this opportunity will need to complete a straightforward form and, if subsequently chosen, will offer branding opportunities on their boat/clothing, as well as a supply of images of the branded boat in race situation, and race/regatta results throughout the season.
