Ocean Safety acquires service station certification for Plastimo

Ocean Safety, specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment, has gained certification to service, repair and re-equip Plastimo and XM Yachting liferafts and lifejackets.

The certification of these leading brands greatly increases the convenience for customers of Ocean Safety to bring other products to one of the company’s UK-wide  Approved Service Stations as well as Ocean Safety’s own manufactured liferafts, lifejackets and man overboard equipment.

“Ocean Safety’s expertise is now available to a greater number of customers,” comments Alistair Hackett, Managing Director of Ocean Safety.  “We are further consolidating our position as the ‘one stop shop’ for the service and repair of safety equipment.”

Owners of Plastimo and XM Yachting safety items can bring their equipment to one of Ocean Safety’s main branch Approved Service Stations in Southampton, Plymouth, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Extending Ocean Safety’s service cover to include the two additional brands is a result of the company’s recent acquisition by Alliance Marine which also owns Plastimo and XM Yachting.  The servicing teams from each of the Ocean Safety branches, although already safety experts and service trainers themselves, have undergone recent product cross-training at Alliance’s Lorient facility.

As with all the equipment serviced by Ocean Safety, customers can arrange to see their liferafts being inflated and re-packed and take advantage of early bird autumn service schemes.  For more information visit www.oceansafety.com.
